Heat shrinkable tube, also known as heat-shrinkable sleeve, heat-shrinkable tube, etc., heat-shrinkable sleeve is an insulating sleeve with high temperature shrinkage, soft flame retardant, insulation and corrosion resistance. The heat shrinkable tube is made of more radiation. It is composed of a high-molecular polymer, which shrinks tightly wrapped cable joints after being heated, thereby achieving insulation, sealing and protection purposes. It is widely used in the waterproofing of electronic equipment, the sealing of wire branches, the corrosion protection of metal pipelines, and the prevention of looseness and shedding caused by the relaxation of polymer chains, such as underwater lighting, automobile tubing, high-grade wire bundles, etc.
How to use heat shrinkable tube:
1. Prepare the material. First, understand the diameter of the cable, or calculate the corresponding diameter for the length and width. Select a heat-shrinkable tube with a diameter slightly larger than the cable diameter.
2. Remove the burrs and sharp corners on the cable to prevent cracking caused by piercing the heat-shrinkable tube during the retraction process. The quick-drying cleaning agent must be used in advance to clean the oil and impurities of the cable connection and keep it clean.
3. Calculate the length of the package to intercept the heat-shrinkable tube of the corresponding length. When cutting the heat-sinking tube, the incision should be neat and smooth, and no burrs or cracks should be generated to avoid the stress concentration generated during heat shrinkage and spread along the crack.
4. Put the heat-shrinkable tube into one end of the cable and move the set heat-shrinkable tube to a suitable position. For a bent cable, arrange the heat-shrinkable tube at the corner to prevent wrinkles.
5. The heating tool is usually a hot air gun, an oven or a hair dryer. In the heating process, it should be heated from left to right or from right to left in one direction, or it can be heated from the middle to the ends to prevent air from remaining in the heat shrinkable tube. Wrap the cable tightly after shrinking, not too close to the surface of the casing or concentrated in one place, otherwise it will produce uneven thickness or burn casing.
Precautions:
1. The heat-shrinkable tube and the heating equipment should not be too close. The distance between the fire and the heat-shrinkable tube must be paid attention to, that is, 4~5cm is evenly moved. When heating and shrinking, do not exceed the upper limit of the heat-shrinkable tube. If the temperature exceeds the upper temperature limit, it will cause the product to "melt" and return to the initial state.
2. Select a suitable heating tool. When heating and baking, the outer flame of the flame is at an angle of 45 degrees to the surface of the heat-shrinkable tube. Be sure to pay attention to moving back and forth to heat the heat-shrinkable tube as a whole. Slowly heat from one end to the other. Be uniform, avoid air bubbles, and ensure the shape of the heat-shrinkable tube after shrinking, and then trim after cooling.
3. The heat-shrinkable tube has different heat shrinkage ratios. The specification of the heat-shrinkable tube generally refers to the product of the maximum inner diameter allowed to be multiplied by the shrinkage ratio after shrinkage of the sleeve. For example, the heat shrinkable tube shrinkage ratio is 2:1, which means that it can be used by selecting a heat shrinkable tube that is twice the diameter of its own product. For example, if the diameter of the quilt is 20mm, we can choose a heat-shrinkable tube with a diameter of 40mm.
4. For linear objects such as wires, select the size of the heat shrinkable sleeve of the outer diameter of the product; the protection of the busbars such as power stations and electrical cabinets requires the use of busbar heat shrinkable sleeves;Waterproof heat shrinkable tube for sealing requirements
