Still a spiral protective cover

The spiral guard is a new product that replaces the metal retaining spring for traditional hose protection. The tspiral guard  is generally made of nylon or polypropylene. The tubing protective sleeve has the same wear resistance performance as the traditional metal retaining spring product, and has strong anti-aging and anti-corrosion performance; it can more effectively prevent the aging and anti-friction protection of the outer surface of the hose. The spiral guard has superior convenience and environmental protection and energy saving effect compared to the hose retaining spring product and other sheathing products. The inner surface of the spiral guard is generally flat, and the outer surface has both a flat surface and a curved surface.

Production Process

The production of the spiral guard is a heat setting process, which is generally divided into two types: one-time setting and two-stage forming.

One-time shaping process: nylon or plastic granules are heated and plasticized by plastic extruder to form strips. The strips are extruded from the die and then wrapped in the different specifications of the core rod without water cooling. Then, after cooling and setting by cooling water, the core rod is separated and formed into a spiral sheath.

Secondary molding process: After the nylon or plastic pellets are extruded through the extruder, the cooling water is cooled; the cooled strip is wound onto the mandrel of different specifications by the winding machine; then the core rod is pushed into the curing tank. Warming and vulcanization. After a certain period of time, the cans are removed and can be molded without the core rod.

Application field

Spiral guards are mainly used in various construction machinery and mining hydraulic equipment and wire and cable protection with wear resistance requirements. It protects many rods in vitro because it can completely cover the protected product, forming effective wear and UV protection.
