Method 1: Check your battery
If your car battery lasts for about three to five years, this is the best stage for car battery performance maintenance. If the time is almost up, it is recommended that you switch to a new battery in the fall. When the winter arrives, your engine is tough and leads to harder work, which adds more pressure to our car battery.
If your battery is still good, how do we check the car battery? Check the battery cable, the fixture is worn or corroded. If there is a clip around the white powdery substance, the battery is corroded and you can remove it. Just baking soda, water and a toothbrush. When checking the battery level, it is considered appropriate if the liquid level is between the upper and lower engraved lines. At the same time, the liquid level difference of each tank should also be checked. The experts remind you that if the liquid level is insufficient, you can unscrew the cover on the battery and pour distilled water to make up the liquid level. Check the battery terminals and use an iron brush to remove dirt from the terminals. If the wiring clamp is heavily soiled, use sandpaper to rub along the inner wall to remove dirt.

Method 2: Check your oil and oil viscosity
“Lubricating oil is the 'blood' of the car, it not only plays a role in lubrication, but also the cooling of the engine is inseparable. The viscosity and thickness of the oil greatly affect the performance of the engine. If the oil is too thick, it will flow slowly. The engine between the parts will be too hot. In the winter, the cold temperatures will cause the oil to thicken. Your user manual should tell you the ideal type of car, the oil you should use, it may also recommend a thinner oil type. According to different seasons, car maintenance experts recommend replacing the oil every 3,000 kilometers or once every three months.
