The difference between EPDM rubber and silicone rubber

In daily life, we often use EPDM hoses and silicone hoses. Do you know where they are different?
1. Price:EPDM rubber hose materials are cheaper than silicone rubber hose materials;
2. Processing:Silicone hose is superior to EPDM hose;
3, temperature resistance:silicone hose temperature grade is better, EPDM hose temperature 150°C, silicone hose temperature 200°C;
4, weather resistance:EPDM hose weather resistance is better, the rubber itself is environmentally friendly, but in the humid environment, EPDM rubber hose is less likely to breed bacteria;
5. Shrinkage ratio expansion ratio:The shrinkage ratio of silicone hose cold shrinkable tube is higher than that of EPDM hose cold shrinkable tube;
6, the difference in combustion:when burning, siliconehose will emit a bright fire, almost no smoke, no smell, leaving white residue after burning. EPDM hose, no such phenomenon;
7, tear and puncture resistance:EPDM hose is better;
8. Other aspects:EPDM hose has good ozone resistance and high strength; high hardness, but low temperature and brittleness; and silica gel has good elasticity and low temperature; however, ozone resistance is generally low and strength is low.
Whether it is a silicone hose or an EPDN hose, they all have their own merits. Everyone should choose the one that suits their purpose.
